Ocular herpes??

Question: Can the cold sore virus be transferred to the eyes, or is it entierly different stand of virus?
Answers: Yes, especially if you have recently contracted cold sores, or have an open sore on your lip and touch it and rub your eye straight after. So don't rub your eyes! Ocular herpes is usually caught by transferring the virus from your mouth - it is relatively unusual because having on your mouth gives you some protection against spreading it to another body part, but it can happen. It is also possible to give yourself genital herpes in the same way, although again it is rare. Just be sure not to mess around with your cold sore, and make sure you wash your hands.

I think it talks about cold sores and transmission the the virus to the eye.
Yes, cold sores can spread to the eye:

Cold sores can also spread to the eyes, fingers or other parts of the body. A cold sore in the eye causes a painful, red eye. Immediate medical attention should be sought, as the herpes virus causes an ulcer on the cornea that can damage sight.
I've heard of it. Since it is your eye (s) don't mess around. See eye dr. Please. That's gotta hurt.
