Inner eye pain and drainage??
Question: for a few days now my eye has been draining constantlly. mostly clear drainage, but occasionally with yellowish color. the inner part of my eye is so tender i can barely touch it. after sleeping my eye is crusted up and vision is cloudy, just in that one eye. i have had pink eye before and its not that. my eye isn't red at all. i have had a cold for about 3 weeks. i dont know if that might have something to do with it. i've been using some of the antibiotic eye drops that i used before when i had pink eye, but it hasn't helped it at all. any ideas??
Answers: Even though it seems as if the drainage is coming from your eye it is most likely a sinus infection. Go see your regular doctor and you will most likely get a script for an oral antibiotic.
not sure whats going on but you really should be seen by an ophthalmologist, this is a dr that is specially trained in the diseases and treatment for the eye. They will be able to tell you what is wrong and give you exactly what you need for treatment. You really dont want to mess around with your eyes. I wish you well! Good luck!
