Regarding contact lense,plz help.??

Question: i hav been using lenses from past 10 months,i had no problem with them, but in november i lost one of my lenses,so after a month i bought a new pair but it was causing lot of itching only in left eye, when i contacted the optician he said he had given lower power lens,so he changed with a new left eye lens, but of no use i hav the same problem.wht could be the reason...............plz help me.
Answers: I had the same type of problem with one of my lens. It was finally determined that I was allergic to the material the lens was made of, and it caused redness and itching of my eye. My Dr. changed the type of lens I had and no more problem. Might be the same situation for you.
Are the new lenses the same brand? The power would not cause this problem but different brands of lenses fit differently and could cause it. If it's just in one eye you could have an irritant under the lens or something called marginal blepharitis which is a fancy name for crusting around the lashes. Gently scrub the lash lines with warm water and johnson baby shampoo on a washcloth at least daily. You could also be developing a sty if there is a little bump Allergies or infection would generally affect both eyesanywhere
I'm assuming that you are cleaning your lenses daily and properly. Also, I only have experience with soft lenses, not hard, which could cause a big difference. Another thing to watch out for is if there is any kind of chemical either getting on your lense or something that is on your finger and your are putting on your lense (I know that only on the left is also unlikely, but I'm just throwing all of the options out there). But if there is nothing on the lense itself, then I would make an appointment with the eye doctor to look at your left eye, because it is possible (however, unlikely) that there is something wrong with your eye itself that the lense is irritating...? But, again, I have no qualifications for saying any of this with any kind of certainty, so please don't sue me... :)
