and now am at office and unable to manage kindly help.I could not eat anything since afternoon

kindly suggest some medicine .

will the drinking water help
Answers: Your erythromycin may have upset the balance of bacteria in the intestine. You may want to change your antibiotic. To rebalance the bacteria take some yogurt or curd. To stop the diarrhea you may want to take some over the counter medicine such as eldopar. Most importantly you also need to replace the water lost from your body by drinking water with sugar and salt or drinking coconut water or electral water. This will help your body to flush out any harmful bacteria and repopulate the intestine with beneficial bacteria.
immodium + and yes drink plenty of water itll stop you dehydrating. x
water and pepto bismol. only eat things that are bland and easy on the stomach like yogurt, cottage cheese, etc.
mylanta, milk of magnesia, pepto bismol...a big glass of milk always works for me tho
ask a doctor. that is the only person that can help besides the person who gave it to u
you are probably having side effects from the drug. See your doctor as soon as you can and in the meantime stop taking the Erythromycine you may be allergic or something.
I'm afraid you need to try and eat something. You need some consistency. Try crackers and breads.
overactive stomach acids??? tums, alka-seltzer...might be a sign of something really bad wrong and I suggest going to a doctor immedialtly for cause and cure....
it depends on what kind of stomach pain you are having-
i know this may be a long shot, but when i have period cramps, i drink chamomille tea, or tea with cinnamon sticks. it numbs the pain a lot better than ibuprofen.
peto bismo
Take some Immodium AD. Don't drink too much water
Your body is just reacting badly to the medicine, probably a side effect. You'll just have to live with it or ask your doctor if you can stop taking the medicine.
antibiotics can give you nausea, which is why they usually suggest that you take them with food

take some Pepto or drink some Sprite to soothe your stomach
I think alkaseltzer is really great when it comes to acting fast if you dont mind the taste
pepto bismo might help, but if the medicine is giving you an upset stomach you need to either take it with food, or dicontinue and have your doctor prescibe something else.
chicken soup
Sounds like you have a sensitivity to the antibiotic you are on. Call your doctor as soon as possible to find another one that will work. Sometimes though you just have to put up with the side effects to get rid of the infection.
Think we all got this problem at the moment its called to much drink lol vitaimin b is best for this and drink lots of milk put a lining on your tummy
i would peptmol dismol. That is supposed to be immediate.

And if it gets to bad think of visiting your doctor keep drinkin water

xx
you can always try taking some ANDREWS for your stomach i find this helps alot but I'm sorry that you are suffering from throat infection if you are taking antibiotics for this then make sure that you get medical advice first befor taking anything for the stomach hope this helps and hope you get better soon
i would go see a doctor and see what they surrgest but in the meen time i would just use soothers
These are also side effects of the Erythromycine. I have seen it many, many times. It really is very irritating to some people. You must call your doctor and tell him/her about this. You should be taken off this med and given another one. Don't let this go. A lot of people can't take certain antibiotics and you seem to be one of them If you read up on the med, you will see that you have signs and symptoms of sensitivity to Erythromycine. Call your MD now, while you're at the office, and tell him. Also, if you can't get a hold of him, you can still call the pharmacy and the pharmacist will tell you the same thing. Good health to you
Funny how you are willing to trust an answer from the net rather than just call your local hospital and use the free advice from a nurse system!!!!

goodluck!!!!!
The symptoms of an upset stomach include occasional heartburn, a taste of bile in the mouth and pains in the stomach, which can be made worse by coffee, citrus fruits, fatty foods, onions, alcohol and chocolate.

In some cases, milk can ease the pains. Other symptoms include irregular bowel movements, constipation and pain when going to the toilet.

What are the possible causes?

Reflux oesophagitis

Usually the problem is caused by reflux oesophagitis, which is brought on by stomach acid that has moved up to the gullet. This usually feels like heartburn or leaves a taste of bile in the mouth.

Reflux oesophagitis can be caused by the opening of the muscle around the top of the stomach, or because the stomach is being pushed due to pregnancy or obesity.

Drinking coffee and eating citrus fruits, fatty foods, onions, alcohol and chocolate often makes the condition worse as these encourage the muscle at the top of the stomach to relax.

Ulcers

Ulcers have similar symptoms and are, therefore, sometimes mistaken for reflux oesophagitis. If symptoms include weight loss and black stools it is important to contact a doctor, who can determine whether or not the condition is caused by an ulcer.

In 9 out of 10 cases an ulcer is caused by a bacteria called Helicobacter pylori. This bacteria can be treated with an antiulcer medicine and antibiotics, which also reduces the risk of contracting new ulcers.

Irritable bowel syndrome

Another cause could be irritable bowel syndrome, which often appears as a pain that gets worse when eating, and is helped by going to the toilet. An irritated large intestine occurs when there is a change of movement in the intestines. It usually helps to drink a lot of water and go to the toilet regularly.

Other, rarer diseases

Other, rarer diseases that require a visit to a specialist include ulcerative colitis and Crohn's disease.

What can be done to help?

Ask a pharmacist for advice about treatments that can be bought over the counter without a prescription.

If these do not help visit a doctor to establish the cause of the symptoms.

After being diagnosed, complete the prescribed treatment.

If initial treatment does not work, return to the doctor. Most cases of reflux oesophagitis and ulcers can be treated successfully with medicine for excess stomach acid and sometimes antibiotics.

If the cause is irritable bowel syndrome, do not buy stomach acid neutralisers (antacids). They won't have any effect.

What are the danger signs?

Bloody, black or tar-like stools - all of which suggest bleeding from within the digestive system.

Nausea, or vomit containing blood, or with an appearance similar to ground coffee.

Unintentional weight loss.

Paleness and fatigue due to an unexplained lack of iron.

Sudden, sharp pains.

All these symptoms require a doctor's diagnosis, as the condition can become very dangerous.

Avoiding unpleasant gas attacks just takes a little planning and some careful choices. Making educated decisions about what foods you eat, when and how you eat them and what you do after can make a huge difference in reducing stomach upset.

Don't count on milk. Milk often hinders rather than helps stomachs because many people can't digest it easily. Though many people think milk can soothe an aching tummy, it actually may do more harm than good. People who are lactose intolerant have trouble digesting milk and end up with bloating, gas, and cramping.

Ease up on coffee, alcohol, and smoking. They irritate the stomach lining. Even decaf coffee bothers some people. And if you smoke, you can add this to the very long list of reasons to quit.

Switch brands. Sometimes, a different brand of antacid may prove more effective than your old favorite.

Don't take an antacid too long. Side effects from antacid use usually don't appear unless a person has taken the medication for several days. But if your stomach problem has persisted that long, it's time to call the doctor.

Relax. Stress can cause or exacerbate gastrointestinal ailments such as indigestion, irritable bowel syndrome, constipation, and diarrhea. Relieve stress by reducing the commitments in your schedule, going on vacation, learning to meditate, exercising, or taking up a hobby.

Pass on pepper. Red and black pepper are frequently identified as gastrointestinal irritants, so try skipping these to see if your stomach feels better. As far as spices, limit these only if you are sometimes bothered by them. Some people can eat spicy foods without ever experiencing unpleasant side effects, and if you're one of them, depriving your taste buds probably won't help your stomach and so may be unnecessary.

Opt for less fat. If your stomach has been acting up, reach for foods that are easy to digest, such as whole grains and lean protein. Avoid foods that are fried or high in fat, which can cause or aggravate stomach upset.

Increase fiber gradually. A high-fiber diet is good for your health, but don't go too high too fast. A gradual change of diet, with a slow but continual addition of fiber, will help your system adjust gradually.

Choose veggies carefully. You may love broccoli, but if you're having a problem with gas, cut back. Too much of certain gassy vegetables, namely broccoli, cauliflower, and brussels sprouts, can aggravate stomach woes. Cabbage and melons can also cause trouble.

Limit problematic fruits. Some people experience stomach discomfort from eating apples and melon. Pay attention to whether your stomach upset follows eating either of these. If so, you may need to choose other fruits instead to avoid upset.

Eat moderately. Take time to enjoy your meal and allow your food to digest properly. Stuffing your stomach can irritate it. But don't skip meals. It allows acid to build up in your stomach and can leave you with an aching tummy.

Cook gasless beans. If you throw out the water in which you've soaked the beans overnight, then cook them in fresh water, you'll significantly decrease their gas-causing potential. Rinsing canned beans also helps reduce gas.

Track your diet. If you have been experiencing temporary stomach upset fairly often, try keeping a food diary for a few weeks to see if you can identify any links. Different foods bother different people. If you can identify the foods that you seem to be sensitive to, you can limit or avoid them -- along with the trouble they cause you.

Exercise your body. Even a brief stroll, particularly after meals, may aid in digestion and help an overstuffed or crampy stomach feel better.

Drink plenty of water. Aim for six to eight glasses of water a day to keep your stomach and intestines running smoothly.

Check your calendar. Morning sickness is one possible cause of stomach upset in women who are capable of bearing children, so before you consider reaching for any medication or making any major changes in your diet to ease your stomach woes, you may want to be sure that pregnancy isn't the culprit.

Avoid laxatives. If constipation has your digestive system out of whack, go the more natural route and take bran or a commercial bulking agent such as Metamucil (with plenty of water) to get things moving again.

Lay off the aspirin. Aspirin and nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory drugs, such as ibuprofen, can irritate the stomach and have been known to cause ulcers. Choose acetaminophen or enteric-coated aspirin instead and make sure you are aware of over-the-counter warnings for analgesics.

Investigate your medications. If you've recently started taking any new medication, whether prescription or over the counter, or increased the dose of your regular medication, ask your doctor or pharmacist if it could be causing your stomach upset. Many medications can trigger digestive discomfort, especially during the early days of treatment. A lower dose or different drug may be easier on your stomach, although it's possible that drug-related stomach upset will resolve on its own in a few days as your body adjusts to it.

Should you find that your precautions have failed to do the trick, there are a number of home remedies available to reduce your discomfort. Read on for some suggestions on calming that upset stomach
side effects can be causing this. I say take peptmo bismol it coats your stomache and may help but here's a link on the medication your taking.

Hi there,
Erythromycin should not be taken on empty stomach...also it is common that, even if you taken it after food, some people do develop loose motions.
Solution for the present problem :
=stop erythromycin
=start imodium 2tabs to start with, later on one tab after 6 hours tioll the loose motion is controlled.
=have lots of liquid diet too.
(before taking imodium, (loperamide hcl) have a word with your family physician , as he knows you better, as patient.)

best wishes...
don't you think you can ask your doctor for prescription?
norflaxcin + tinidazole should help both loose motion & sore throat. still suggest consult your doctor.
Drink Lemon juice in hot water with salt and sugar. Keep drinking till it arrests your problem.
