Sleeping? PLZ HELP ME!!??


Question: Okay, I HAVE to go to bed early tonight... say about 9:30ish...and I'm NOT tired!! What are some things, besides taking medicine, that would help me fall asleep easier? PLEASE HELP!!!! THANKS SOOO MUCH!!
Answers: go out and run around like crazy or go to the gym or something that will make you really tired. run up and down your stairs 20 times. go up and down your street 20 times. see how many times you can spin around without getting dizzy. hey, it's a good workout too :) =]

then do all that relaxing stuff the other people said ;)
try doing puzzles like sudoku or crossword in bed
The fastest way for me to get to sleep is to read a good book. I always fall asleep before I can finish.

Start getting ready for bed earlier, keep it quiet, no tv, read a book.... Just calm and relaxing stuff earlier than you normally would go to bed. Sweet Dreams!
Try reading until then. It will get your mind off of other things and relax you.
Taking a nice long hot bath will help you to relax. Also don't over stimulate by watching TV in your room. Sometimes a cup of tea helps. Good luck
Get a Serta matress, and wait for the sheep to come looking for you. Really, just close your eyes, put on some relaing music and run five miles before you go to bed tonight.
drink warm milk. watch a boring show on discovery channel. (i love that channel, but if it is about something i'm not interested in, the mono tones can put you to sleep)

A long hot bath always helps me to relax and i go to sleep a lot easier.
i think the orgasm response is the best. It relaxes you totally and will knock you out if done right...
You can take a natural herbal. Your brain produces Melatonin is the all-natural nightcap. It's secreted by the pineal gland. You can buy it at the local rite aide in the herbals for like 1-3.00 a bottle. It will not hurt you, check your age. Your brain sometimes wont turn off regarding stress dont take anything Rx. They are addictive or controled substances. And in your case this would work fine the same as reading a book would which also is highly recommended. Watch something you are uninterested in that you would consider boring. Or go and babysit some kids they will wear you out quick.
I take a bath with lavender or vanilla scent. Then I turn down the lights, sip some noncaffeinated herbal tea and put on the bossa nova online radio station. After the tea I have some warm milk if I'm still not sleepy.

Get in bed, turn everything off, close your eyes, and go to sleep. Count sheep, that helps.
The supplement MELATONIN, over-the-counter, in the vitamin section.

Lavender candles, incense or bath products

Chamomile or Sleepytime Tea or warm milk

A warm bath

Meditation (many books on how at the library)--this clears the mind
I think the option for yr sleep would b to calm down yr mind, & this u can do by doing some mental exercise. I would suggest to concentrate yr mind on yr breath. Let c how to do, start taking a deep breath as deep as u can and release it as slowly as u can. Try to concentrate only on yr breath, ( u vl feel that u r using only one nose for breathig).
Do not think anything else other than this. Day by day increase the length of this excercise. For this have to give only 5-10 min of yr sleep for better sleep. You vl feel relax & free. so yr mind vl calm down n helps in getting sleep.
