What could this be??
Question: Last night I started having mild pain in my lower back on the right side, right below the ribcage. It worsened as time went by. I took a hot shower and tried to massage it but it didn't help at all. This morning the pain went away but came back within an hour of when I woke up. Now it is starting to get worse again. It is also goes a little on my side. The pain is almost like waves, not really shooting, but it gets stronger every few seconds. I also feel a little sick to my stomach. I drink lots of water and I haven't been doing anything that may cause me to pull a muscle. What is your opinion? Should I be concerned?
Answers: before this pain started did it hurt to urinate? because a kidney infection is a result from an untreated uti (urinary tract infection) when it moves up then it goes to your kidneys.
have you missed your period?
could be a slipped disk too if you are not having cold chills a kidney infection will cause cold chills and fever
if this is not normal for you id go to the docs because our body gives us physical signs when something is wrong even slightly. thats great you know your body.
Kidneys. Take naproxen sodium, reduce salt intake and drink a bunch of juice. If the pain persists, talk to a doctor and make them consider your kidneys. You could just have inflammation, and no big worries, or you could have an infection or kidney stones. Don't ignore it, but don't panic!
I've had pains like that, and like you always wondered how i could pull a muscle there but with simple things like bending over to pick up something can cause a pulled muscle without us even realizing it. I would wait it out, I have had these for as long as 4 days or so.
you really should go to the walk-in-clinic & be checked out right away it could be your appendix or gallbladder. But you won't know for sure until you go find out what is going on.
You should always be a little concerned when you have pain for no reason...go to webmd.com and use the symptom checker...it could be anything from kidneys, to referred pain from the uterus (cramps)...if it persists ask a dr.
