What is walking aids and any info on the subject??
Question: i am doing a health and soical care project and i need info on walking aids i have to do a presantation please help

This site seems to have a fair bit of info on walking aids but if you type walking aids into google you'll be inundated with sites. You could probably get further info from your local PCT or related charities.

walking aids are such things as zimmer frames, crutches, walking sticks and the likes

walking aids are used by people with reduced mobility, they are, walking sticks, crutches, zimmer frames, roller frames (zimmer with two wheels on front). If u go to your local hospital and seek out the physiotherapy team, they will be able to provide you with lots of info.
i have a posture control Kay walker it is a drag walker by this i mean you pull behind you rather than push like a conventional zimmer i have cerebral palsy and it helped me lots it is very supportive and helps to normalise walking patten it is very under utilised in the NHS particularly for adults it is expensive £500 and is only normally provided to kids on NHS in UK it is fab and even comes in a rainge of funky colours so you feel like it integrates and look less medical cool project hope this helps try i think it is called quest88.com
