What could it be and what caused it??
Question: My b.f just started having this really bad pain on the top of his foot.He didn't sprain his foot or anything like that it just started suddenly.Anybody knows what it is,what caused it or how to soothe the pain please help.He was on his bike ealier today.Thank you.
Answers: He could have a stress fracture in his foot.
Strain from too much exercise, running, biking, can do this.
Also, he could have a neuroma
A nerve inflammation from the shoe rubbing on top of the nerve the wrong way.
I guess it depends on the kind of bike, but in all reality, he probably overworked some of the muscles in his foot that he isn't used to using.
he probably strained a tendon while biking. Would apply ice for 20 minutes every hour for the next 8 hours.
Have his rest it for the rest of the day. Cycling shoes can be pretty tight and it could be a number of things but none of them require emergency treatment. Let it rest and see how it feels tomorrow.
You cannot ask for a diagnosis online and no one can give you one. The only people who can say probably, looks like, it is are a licensed MD, NP or PA and only after a physical exam possibly with diagnostic tests. If your boyfriend decides this pain is a problem he is perfectly capable of taking himself to a doctor.
To the one called the_only_solerose who says she's an RN, please don't diagnose anymore. That's not within the scope of nursing practice.
maybe it is the shoes straining it or he jumped or somethin too hard on it and didnt feel the pain at the time
go to doc for a check up
It sounds like a Sciatic problem. The S. nerve goes fron the lower spine to the top of the foot. I had that problem.
Possibly Gout
