I took a nap earlier and now I can't go to sleep....??


Question: I took a nap earlier and forgot to set the alarm clock. I slept for 4 hours and woke up a 8:30 pm. It's 1:30 am and I have to be up for work in 5 hours--I can't get to sleep....help!!!
Answers: Try a glass of warm milk, get offline, and go straight to bed. Count sheep!
try reading a book. not online, that could keep you up like me:)
Benadryl works for me but don't abuse it and read the instructions to make sure you can tolerate it because I am not a Dr. MY Dr. told me to take one or two capsules at night if I can't sleep.
thats the trouble with taking naps in the afternoon. if you do nap, it cuts into the sleep opportunity later. compare it to eating, if you don't eat breakfast, you tend to overeat at lunch time, then eat it cuts into the time you would normally be hungry for dinner. the same can be said for your sleep. i would start by not sitting at the computer and try for sleep, you cannot actively try for sleep typing.
