Dehydration??


Question: I have been getting really dehydrated latley. I drank 88 ounces of water in just the past 3 hours when I have just been sitting down watching TV. I also have been getting fevers latley, and I swear for no reason.

Can anybody help?
Answers: Why do you believe you are getting dehydrated? Very little/dark urine output? If you are dehydrated, drinking that much water that fast is not the best way of replenishment. I would recommend 8 ounces of either Gatorade or Pedilite every 30-60 minutes. Gatorade and Pedilite both have the electorates your body needs to get back up to speed. You might think about drinking a couple quarts of Cranberry Juice over the next several days. Cranberry juice is a poor man's why of fighting urinary tract/kidney infections that you may have from the symptoms you described. After you get re hydrated, start drinking 8-10 eight ounce servings of water a day. Water is not coffee, soft drinks, etc. If you still have problems (i.e. fever) within 48-72 hours, I would recommend you go see a doctor to be evaluated.
