What else can I do to improve Gum Health??

Question: I bought a vitality (electric) toothbrush by Oral B (one of the best investments ever) -which I use three time a day....and I use crest pro-health rinse at the end of the day...(it makes everything taste funny for hours)....

What else can I do to help my gums?
They have gotten a lot better - but I still have one deep pocket near my lower canine that food gets caught in all the time....
Any ideas?
Answers: Floss and don't bring the toothbrush to the base of that tooth. Also massage your gum.
Floss and gargle with listerine
I also like listerine, because you can swish stuff right out, before you go to bed and it doesn't leave a bad taste for a long time. And for whatever reason something gets stuck there that you can't feel, then listerin would have helped alot by killing any bacteria that would have grown. I hate toothpicks, but I have gotten these plastic toothpicks from the dentist that I like. They are not going to break and I like to use them for emergencies when something gets stuck and I can swoop right out. If you haven't gone to the dentist and you doing this on your own, it's good if you do go and get a periodontal cleaning. This is better that a regular cleaning, cuz they go in between the gums by your teeth to clean all the debris from there. Then you can just go for your regular cleaning every 6 months
