I use the bathroom at least 5 times before I go out I'm afraid to do anything anymore especially eating out?
Question: I always have diaherrea at least 4 times a week I can't gain weight, doctors say I'm stressed. It's been a year now and still not better. I need help my life is ruined.
Answers: could be IBS and stress makes it worse. Go back to your doctor and tell him how this is affecting your life. Mail me let me know how you get on as I am in the same boat as you.
this could be somthing to do with your diet.
Keep going to doctors til you get an answer. Demand that they help you.
oh man that sounds like a terrible problem, I really feel for ya. Im not sure if this might be the same thing, or similar, but when I have a date or something I am really nervous about my nerves can stress me out so much I will give my self diarreah for the rest of the day. Maybe you have an anxiety disorder and your nerves are making your body upset that it is giving you diarreah. do you think maybe you have an anxiety disorder? do you always feel anxious or nervous? if you do try to not let it take over your life, you control your body, feelings, emotions. Sometimes i can get over my anxieties if I put them into perspective like, this isnt the end of the world, or what's the worst that can happen? I really hope you can get better.
It does sound like there are lots of different
symptoms interacting with each other.
Between obsessiveness and fear of ending up
some place without a bathroom, perhaps some sort
of bowel problem (at one time) which may or may
not have gone away, and the associated stress,
you may be working yourself up to the point where
you can't properly digest anything.
I suggest the following: Plan a weekend where you
DO NOT LEAVE THE HOUSE. Make sure you
have everything you need to stay there, and simply
eat normally and hang out and not live in fear of
going out and having to go unexpectedly.
The key here, is to have no intention of leaving the
house for at least a couple of days. That is, you
know you have nothing to fear for at least those
two days. You'll be perfectly safe, and therefore
perhaps stress free.
Maybe, after a couple of days, the relaxation
will settle your bowel and things may start moving
more normally.
At this point, you could have had any number
of colon problems that caused the symptoms to
begin with, and now the symptoms are self-
perpetuating, whereas the original cause may
be long gone.
Relax ... watch a good movie!
sounds like irritable bowel syndrome, you might ask your doctor for a prescription for Dicyclomine, or see a gastroenterologist for testing. You could also be suffering from a malabsorption syndrome, at any rate a gastroenterologist should be able to do the necessary testing to find out exactly what the problem is and how to treat it.
