Do you sleep well at night, if yes, is it natural, a warm drink or pills??
Question: I am a restless sleeper and would love to get a good nights sleep. I have heard that taking pills to help can be addictive.
Answers: I sleep well without any help - I even have a cup of coffee before bed! You need to be relaxed when you go to bed, preferably without anything to worry about - not always easy. There are some natural remedies that are supposed to help you sleep, I think lavender oil is one, perhaps you should try one of these?
Shagging your brains out works for me...
Sleep like a baby
i have a snoring husband & a snoring dog...so my nights are often broken sleep...feel like strangling BOTH of them!!
i have heard the herbal Nitol tablets are good..but i havent resorted to those....yet!!
A brand new ultra plus pillow top mattress surely helps me. Until I purchased it, i slept like crap. Waking up multiple times through out the night. Now I sleep soundly without any sleeping pills.
I always have a cup of tea or hot vimto just before I go to bed and I never have a restless night. Whether thats the drink or just me I don't know but give it a try. If it doesn't help, my sister can't sleep so she take the tablets, Calms, she swears by them.
Do exercize 2 hours before you go to bed.
Your body will tell you when it's time to sleep.
Beer helps me
Pills,...I have insomnia though...I am Bipolar and that goes with the territory...so I will have insomina for the rest of my life. I take Roserm right now. I tell you what It's a godsend. There is no risk for dependency, you can start and stop anytime, and it's just a little stronger than regular ole Benadrill. Wonderful stuff. The only bad thing is it either works or it doesn't. It works for about 50% of the people who have tried it. A little less.
Hi
You can drink chamomile tea or you can take a hot bath right before you go to bed. It helps me go to sleep.
i work nite shift 3 days a week so my sleep schedule is always a little nutty (i sleep normal hours on my days off).
for me, taking a nice, hot bath before bed w/lavender scented bubbles helps calm me down alot. i'm also a big fan of drinking some peppermint tea while bathing. this settles me in for a great night's rest. i also use pillowtop mattresses.
my bf doesn't have pillowtop mattresses and i had the hardest time sleeping at his house-my back hurt so much in the morning. i started using an eggcrate mattress pad on my side of the bed and i sleep so much better now.
i'm not a big fan of pills b/c they can become addictive but they can also leave you groggy for several hours in the morning. so i try to avoid them.
TV, running fans, thunderstorms, and marijuana seem to make me fall asleep pretty quicly.
i always read when i get into bed, this winds me right down and i sleep really well.
I don't need to take anything, I can sleep easily.
No need of pills. Switch off all your thoughts and bring it just to your body alone to start with. Just bring it closer to between your eyebrows leaving everything else. It will take a lot of time. But one can succeed and sleep peacefully. Of course being a human, exceptional days are possible where you can fail.
after whole day with my 20month old daughter, which starts usually about 6AM, I sleep so well I even started to dribble!
A hard days work seems yo work for me.
rescue sleep. tastes like brandy. yuck. but it works.
I take half of a 10mg Ambien tablet on nights when I absolutely cannot fall asleep, and a warm shower won't help (though 60% of the time, the warm shower puts me to sleep pretty nicely). It hasn't been habit-forming at all for me. I have made a 30 tablet bottle last until it expired and had to be tossed out. I take half of the dosage because a) if I don't I feel like a zombie in the morning and b) if I take the whole thing and am interrupted from falling asleep immediately, I feel like a zombie for the entire night AND the next morning, and still wouldn't be able to fall asleep. (That zombie feeling for me is, I'm sure, what others have described as feeling groggy. )
My sister likes Ambien CR, but the dosage just feels too high on that for me. It's a continuous-release pill that is supposed to last all night. I'm probably just a light-weight when it comes to sedatives.
We both were diagnosed with insomnia (among other things) in our early twenties, so we both know what countless sleepless nights is like! I hope you find something that works for you soon. :)
(A good orgasm and/or alcohol also seem to help me fall asleep without pills, but I wasn't sure if that was the sort of answer you were looking for. :P)
