My Sister has a little problem....??
Question: Before i write on PLEASE DON'T LAUGH. This is a serious question!!!! And i only want serious answers.
My sister smells of, fish. It's true! I try to tell her that she smells but then she goes all sad and depressed. She says she washes and changes but after a few hours FISH fills the room. I was thinking maybe if i knew what causes the fish i could stop it...
PLEASE HELP !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Answers: She smells because she is not washing her Private areas either enough or thoroughly. When your body sweats it excretes a small amount of urine through this sweat (Thats why sweat smells stale)
When this sweat is located Down below it reacts with her bodies natural producing chemicals causing a Fishy type smell.
Did you know: In Roman times, if a woman was caught smelling like a fish she would be drowned. True!!!!
Get her to the STD clinic fast.
I think she should see a doctor as it could be an infection
She needs to see a doctor to find out what is causing the odor. There are any number of conditions that could be creating the problem.
she probably has an infection, she needs ot see a doctor for a swab to find our what it is.
She should get herself booked in for a smear test she possible has an infection. Try be a little tactful am sure she is probably upset by the smell if it is an infection it isn't her fault a litttle sympathy from you would help her.
I watched a programme about a disorder which causes the person to give off a fishy smell, it was on channel 4 a couple off weeks ago. Tell her to go to the doctors, if it is that disorder they can't cure it but it can be controlled.
Sorry not much help but i thought i'd let you know!
tell her to take bath 3 times a day
&
try to use the deo roll & deo spray together
it should work!
i think it could be an infection, she needs to see a doctor just to check

It could be her sweat glands or oil glands causing this she needs to see a doctor who can refer her to a specialist.Normaly it can be taken under control by medication
take the above advice except for Paul as there's one in every list of answers. good luck
There's actually a genetic disorder called Fish-Odor Syndrome. Being genetic, there really isn't a cure. You could take her to the doctor to see if there's anything to help surpress the odor. I'm afraid she's going to have to live with it, however, I wish her the best of luck!
Fish Odour Syndrome The excess of trimethylamine in the urine produces the characteristic smell that the patients give off...It can be triggered by a kidney or liver infection or the excess intake of the chemical choline, which the body turns into trimethylamine.
There is no cure, but diets avoiding foods that contain choline, like salt water fish, egg yolk, peas, liver, kidney, and legumes, can have a degree of success.
plz try the Homeopathy for this,,,this will tell u the reason for this smell and give u the 100% cure by removing disease from its root....
This can also be a very serious situation. I know I shouldn't put this in public but ask her if she has her period, which may be causing the smell. If not, go and see a doctor immediately. This is also a symptom of trimethylaminuria or it maybe from a rare genetic gene. The best option is to see a doctor immediately.
depends which part of the body - down below its an infection - armpits its a sweat gland problem, the doctor has a very expensive deodorant you get on prescription, wash armpits use deodorant once a day at night and it clears up after a few days.
It`s got nothing to do with how many times you wash yourself, unfortunately it is a problem that the doctors can only give a guide.

I've always heard that women should not be giving out any smell. If there is a smell present then that is a sign of something wrong and they need to go to the gynecologist to figure out what it is. And simply washing/douching will not make it better. Actually douching causes the pH balance to change within the vagina allowing for easier infections.
could be TrimethylaMinuria...

(I googled disorder smell like fish )
ask if she itches, she may have thrush, does she have a discharge? if she has both of these its most likely thrush she will need to get some cream and stop eating sweet things till it clears up, also no tight clothing around that area or lycra underwear (makes you sweat) she needs to wear cotton underwear.
If she is young, she may be going through her body changes and a change in smells happens, if she is embarrassed about it if shes out, tell her to wear a sanitary towel.
she needs to go docs though to be sure.
time for her obgyn check up.....yuck.
This was on tv the other day. Your sister can't help it, it's a known condition. Tell her to go and see her gp.
Get her to the doctors. Maybe an infection.
I think she has a hygiene problem, she should go to the gynecologist
