High levels of ALT from the liver...what could it be??
Question: March 2006 my ALT was 92 and this time it's 132. I tested for hepatitis and it came out negative. I am 195 lbs 5'10-5'11 but have high BAD cholesterol (152). 26 years old. I asked if it could be a tumor or liver cancer my doctor says no it's not that serious. I do NOT drink alcohol...and don't use any medications except a few months back where i used treatment shampoo for a scalp problem. Doctor says lose weight get the cholesterol down and then recheck the blood. What could it be? If it's not hepatitis it can't be a liver tumor can it? Please help thanks
