What treatment should be applied to a person that has problmes with the thyroid gland and hormones and is FAT??

Question: to lose weight that is. Does working out help?
Answers: See an endocrinologist. If the thyroid problem is hypothyroid, it is related to the slower metabolism and can be corrected by taking levothyroxin. In addition, weight loss would help. A low calorie, balanced diet plus an increase in physical activity will bring about weight loss.
No treatment should be applied until a diagnosis is made. Anyone with symptoms of a thyroid problem needs blood tests. Free T3, Free t4, and antibodies. They also need an ultrasound. Treatment can only be decided on after the diagnosis is made.
Working out will help, but only if the thyroid levels are correct. THis usually means a morning TSH around 1.0 for those on T4 and a midrange free t4 and high in range free t3 for those on T4/T3.
