My 22 year old husband has Ulcerative Colitis....??
Question: Ulcerative colitis is a disease that causes inflammation and sores, called ulcers, in the top layers of the lining of the large intestine.
He found this out at the ER. The ER Doc referred him to a DR> which can't get him in until the end of next month...and it will cost $245 just for the visit....we have no health insurance and CAN'T afford it.... he will most likely have to have surgery...What can we do to get him help...
We live in North Central, Arkansas...
Any info will be helpful
Answers: If he was an illegal alien, he could get free health care here in Dallas.
i hope the dr gave you the ins and outs about the kind of foods he should be eating.. some things make it much worse. you might be able to look it up online. good luck
Look into Medicaid... I am willing to bet you guys would meet the requirements for it. Check it out.

i have that too and u can get medicaid. The proecedures and mediction is going to get very expensive if you dont have insurance.
They usually dont do surgery unless the patient doesnt respond to any treatment or that there health is beyond any treatment.MOre then likely he is in a flare up and will give him steriods and some anti inflmmatory meds.
You can try going the natural method in the meantime.I dont take no prescrption meds.Just immodiums, metamusical, bees wax,and aloa vera pills.
everything is different for every person though.look online .theres alot of good information about state insurances and natural methods for this diease.good luck
Try taking goji berry juice 90ml three times daily. Tell me all about it when you get better!
Good luck!
