What kind of doctor should I see about a eating disorder ??
Question: Thanks for your time and help
Answers: your generalist and then refer you to endocrinolgist or related specialty if sees the cause needs specialist interfere
You need to see your G.P. first sweetheart, he/she can refer you on to a counsellor. What has caused you to have the disorder, do you know? If you can identify the exact starting point that could be a great help both to you and your counsellor. Just remember, you are beautiful as you are, no matter what others might say. Good luck, and go to your doctor as soon as you can. Well done for recognising you have a problem, that is very brave and a good first step towards recovery.
Depending on what the disorder is will depend on the doctor that you would see. It may be a physical problem or it may be a psychological problem. In any event, you would be advised to start by seeing your own doctor who would then advise you on the procedure that you should follow.
Hope this helps
