Hypokalemia and paralysis??

Question: I have heard that severe cases of hypokalemia can cause fatigue to the point where it is similar to paralysis. this paralysis........... can it be to the point where an individual cannot move at all and need help with simply rolling over? I would have assumed such paralysis would lead to death b/c the heart and lung muscles would be effected.

Im just trying to figure out if someone is milking the situation by making it seem worse than it is. Otherwise they are normally a perfectly healthy individual. No excess drinking, excretion, etc.
Answers: I have hypokalemic periodic paralysis disorder. It is very rare and when your potassium goes even down .1% you can become paralyzed for how every long it takes to get potassium in you. Look up HKPP or Hypokalemic Periodic Paralysi Disorder on the net...it is a real sevre illness and can cause permeantent paralysis after time. It is a form of Muscular Dystrophy. Very rare if you die from it but unless you get help you will be paralysis until K is given.
