Question: I am a bit overweighed and i want to take diet supplements bought a product and I also read the label and know all the consequences...! I want to use it to achieve the size that i want to become...faster but i am afraid of my health! I also have noninsulin-dependent diabetes which is the pre-stage of diabetes....but i want to lose weight because i feel too bad about myself! I am already on a diet but it’s really hard for me to lose the weight that i want to lose!!!Do u have personal experience with diet supplements or have any knowledge of the matter please advice me because i don't want to do anything stupid!
Answers: You have stated you have at least one medical condition....diabetes. Taking and pill that promises to curb your appetite and make you lose weight is dangerous.
Your doctor would be the first to tell you this. And you should already be on an American Diabetic Association diet. These diets come as 1800 Calorie ADA diets, ect.
Adhereing to this diet regime, plus exercise, should make you lose weight. I would go down to the say 1200 ADA diet and supplement with snacks in between that are noncaloric or low calories.
You can easily obtain the diets online. Follow them, exercise daily. If you are on pills for your diabetes, fooling around with anything is dangerous.
Talk to your doctor! But, eating correctly and exercise is the best way to lower your weight and control your diabetes!
I think u should always try old fashioned exercise first. ofcourse it takes longer but u will benifit from it more.

Diet supplements work, but once you stop taking them, you will put the weight right back on in a 1/4 of the time you took it off. Forget that junk. Very unhealthy.
Instead, go out to any bookstore, and buy a book called Body For Life by Bill Phillips. It is the best diet program out there. But it is also a workout and exercise program, which is absolutely necessary if you want to lose and keep it off. It is a diet you'll be happy with too:
You must eat small portion meals 5-6 times a day, and drink a whole lot of water constantly. See, your body works logically: If it is not getting enough water or food, it starts storing it because it thinks it needs to. Like a bear in hibernation. Simple as that. If you drink water and eat little portions 5-6 times a day, every day, your body is tricked into releasing stored up fat and water, as it thinks times are good. (IE. no famine, drought, ect...) Of course to counter this, you need exercise. More importantly, you need to lift weights. While cardio exercise is great, it only affects the body for the time you are doing it. But after lifting weights, your body has to keep expelling energy for 1-3 days in order to repair the muscles you stressed, and needs to burn the calories you eat to do that.
In other words. Pills = bad - Get the book!
You can also try the Master Cleanse It is a fast. Also called the lemonade diet. I works well to get rid of addictions to anything including sugar and fat, caffeine, ect... and is supposed to be great for diabetics. It is on the internet, but I would recomend reading the short 40 page book, and keeping it for reference. You would do it for ten days, and then start on a good diet, like the one above.
Why aren't you exercising? You will lose so much more weight if you exercise. Be careful with over-the-counter diet pills, 99% of them are totally bogus and the only thing which gets smaller is your wallet.
first off my boyfriend is a bodybuilder so i know how bad those things can be if you really want to lose want start off by power walking than ease yuor way into running another thing is gradually ease off the carbs and sweets like fruit s and sugar this best diet i would really recommend is the siith beach diet if you really want to lose weigth
work out!!!!!!!
You need to talk to your doctor and find out what the best, safest and healthiest way for you to loose weight is. Those diet pills never work well, and the minute you stop using them they stop working.
Just forget the diet supplements and just try and eat healthier and do some thing every day, like walking, biking, dancing, any thing that keeps you moving, it might take longer but in the end is the best way and those quick diet supplements that promise you will loose lots of weight if that were true no one would ever be fat the only way is to watch what your putting in your body and to exercise daily
you're obviously apprehensive about taking diet pills because you know that they're bad for you.
keep working at your diet, and start doing more athletic activities to burn calories and you will continue to lose weight. True healthy weight loss is slow and steady.
It is a proven fact that people who take dangerous diet pills have a much higher chance of regaining the weight they lost than those who do it in a natural and healthy way.
Do it safely with a good diet and exercise, and you'll feel better and be healthier. Good Luck!
Do not take the diet pills without speaking to your doctor, you are at risk for serious side effects. Because you have pre-stage diabetes, your body does not produce or react to insulin efficently. The pills you want to take are likely thermogenic, meaning they increase you metabolism by causing your body tempature to rise. Insulin is the main hormone involved in helping your body do this safely. Because your body doesn't handle insulin in the way the manufacturers of the pill expect, you could have some serious and potentially fatal reactions.
For example, your heart will begin to beat faster and work harder when you take the pill, but because of low insulin sensitivity your heart will not be able to get the energy it needs. This can cause damage to heart cells or even a heart attack. Please, please, please speak to your doctor before taking the pills!
Diet supplements are exactly that...a supplement.
If you don't change your lifestyle...(what you eat, how much you eat, amount of exercise etc..) you will simply regain the weight you have lost when you stop taking the supplement.
Don't waste your money...make changes.
Get up from the computer and go work out put down the burger and go run lazy there are no short cuts for hard work
