Eating sweets, why at times makes me ill??
Question: Sometimes, not all the time, eating sweets makes me feel ill... i told my doctor couple years ago thinking perhaps sign of diabetes...he gave me some candy and i felt ill... he said no not diabetes and that was that.... ((just now i had some chocolate about 2 chunks of a hersheys large bar...i had breakfast but no lunch...now i feel ill))
also, at times when i dont eat during the day like i should i get sick too...faint like... i figured this to be low blood sugar...
what do you think??
Answers: i had a thing when i was 8 or 9 that i ***** eat sweets before bedtime... cos i felt really sick.. i t may be the same thing.. i wasnt told what it was.. the faintness is lack of energy or low sugar.. but not nessesarily diabetes..
i was prescribed merbentyl syrup... i think it was called.. if you look it up.. it might tell you what is wrong...
best to ask your doctor again and make them listen to you.. i would avoid sweets and take natural sugars like sweet apples.. just until you can get seen by a doc!
go back to the doctor and tell them you require a diagnosis be persistent with them. alternatively you can go to your local pharmacist and see if they offer diabetes and cholesterol tests.
Maybe an allergy?
Doctors can do some type of tests to check on allergies for you.
You're lucky - some people don't get ill when they eat sweets and they keep eating and eating and eating - and they keep gaining and gaining and gaining.....
Also, everybody get faint like and tired when they don't eat...

You have stated you have at least one medical condition....diabetes. Taking and pill that promises to curb your appetite and make you lose weight is dangerous.

Sadly, there isn't anything you can do to force him to change. However, you can (and should) encourage him to try alternatives to his normal fare. Definitely express your *perception* of his diabetes
Sounds like you are doing great. Keep up the good work.
taxing sugar is silly. Sugar comes in a lot of different forms, and eventually that would mean that a lot of things are taxed not just sugar.
