Are 6 to 8 pops a day too much??
Question: I drink about 6 to 8 pops a day at birth my mom had diabetes but it went away am I at risk for diabetes or are there other health concerns?
Answers: That's 5 - 7 too many...nothing but empty calories, sugar, carbonation which can lead to bone loss, and an excess of caffiene...
researchers have found possible links between frequent soda consumption and kidney stones, heart disease and digestive problems.
People who overimbibed are not without hope, however. Soft drink-related bone loss and tooth decay can't be undone, but medical treatment and improvements in diet and exercise can stop their progression. And with intervention, other damage likely is temporary, including caffeine-induced sleep disturbances and jittery nerves.
yes, you are at risk for diabetes...your teeth will rot, and you will eventually need dentures...heart disease, cancer, high blood pressure...quit now before pop eats you alive.
Yes you are still at risk of catching diabetes with the amount of pop you drink a day.
Diabetes is not going to happen because you drink to much pop. It could be in your genes though. Also the acid from the pop will eat away the enamel from your teeth and they will eventually go bad. I personally saw a child who was about ten with rotten teeth because all he drank was soda. He was going to have to get dentures at ten years old. Your teeth may look fine but go ask a dentist what he thinks. I would maybe try to drink a little less a day. Maybe try to switch to diet for less sugar. Although it won't help with the acid part. Try finding another drink you like. Maybe flavored waters or something. Mom is right. Pop is bad.
Way too much sugar. How are your teeth? If you don't quit, they are going to fall out some day if you keep drinking that much soda. Either that, or you'll have more cavities than you can deal with.
My field is in fashion, as a result many people ask me how they can slim down. My answer is always the same: good diet and exercise. But I found this great product which I think helps a lot in the process. I recommend you check this website

Yes, that is way too much.
6-8 pops a day is really not good for you. You should try to reduce it down to 2 pops per day and drink water or juice to supplement the rest. Your mom had the type of diabetes associated with having a baby. You may be at slight risk of catching it yourself. Be careful.
yes thats too much...
Yes, pops are loaded with empty calories, sugar, and caffene. Also drinking too many pops can cause bladder infections, which are very painful.
That is way too much for anyone. Taking in so much refined sugar wreaks havoc on your blood glucose levels, especially if you are at risk for diabetes via family history. Try to cut back slowly, aiming for 1 or 2 a day max. Consider switching to diet soda if you can.

Sadly, there isn't anything you can do to force him to change. However, you can (and should) encourage him to try alternatives to his normal fare. Definitely express your *perception* of his diabetes
Sounds like you are doing great. Keep up the good work.
taxing sugar is silly. Sugar comes in a lot of different forms, and eventually that would mean that a lot of things are taxed not just sugar.

The fact that you are headed for heart disease and diabetes yourself if you don't get a hold on this should be inspiration enough! No doubt the antidepressants had alot to do with you gaining weight.
You need to exercise, first and foremost. Try doing 60-90 minutes/day. Split it up into 15-20 minute intervals throughout the day if you can't do it all at once.
