Coffee and weight??

Question: Hey, I recently did a diet that would normally work wonders on weight loss. about 1400 cals for a couple weeeks. i have a fast metabolism also, but had gained five pounds. i know my body-it DIDNT make me lose anthing. i couldnt undersnad it. the only things i could think of is that i had coffee everyday, something i never did. in large armounts. i heard some people are sensitive to that when trying to lose weight, and others it doesnt effect. i have had health problems, but not been told i had diabetes. i read somewhere that if you have insulen resistance drinking coffee would stall weight loss. would i know if i had diabetes or insulin resistance? because i definitely have had fatigue, headaches, insomnia my whole life . the other thing is i was taking supplements, but they are known for weight LOSS at times, not gain-fish oil pills ( counting the calories of them), l-tyrosene, 5htp. anyone think it was the coffee or supplements or would that be impossible
Answers: It shouldn't cause weight gain if it's PLAIN coffee. If you're putting sugar and creamer and stuff in it then it will cause weight gain just like soda.
COFFEE IS A DIURETIC, IT WILL DEHYDRATE YOU AND MAKE YOU LOOSE WEIGHT, NOT GAIN.
