What are the amount and kinds of catbohydrates that are use top prevent or treat toothdecay and diabetes.??

Answers: Veggies and Carbs do not prevent tooth decay. Diabetes has become rampant in the U.S. and is a result of two things; the High Carb, Low Fat, don't eat red meat crowd and the Nanobacter bacteria that causes about 80% of diabetes type II.

Our genetics have changed on 1% in the last 12,000 years. We still need diets that early man ate to be healthy. If you look at ALL the indigenous people around the world and analyze them like Dr. Weston Price did in the 1930's and compare the health of the people with their diets, you will find the underlying causes of why America is so sick. If you just look at the statistics, that is better than listening to some hired gun so called expert with credentials bought and paid for by the food industry that is more interested in Profit than Health.

12,000 years ago, man was eating 80% fat & protein from wild animals feeding off the wild grasses on free ranges. He had no refined sugars, white flour, insecticides, pasteurization, etc. Only 20% of his diet was from carbs.

Today, 80 - 90% of the American diet is carbs. Early man and the indigenous people that are and were eating the diet of early man did not have cavities, heart disease, cancer, etc.

In 1905 the CDC reports that less than 5% of ALL Americans were chronically ill. Today, in 2005, the CDC now reports that over 53% are Chronically ill and that is just the reported ones.
What changed? The diet and the Food Industry. The way food is grown, genetically engineered, processed, distributed, and the way animals are herded into feed lots and fed grains instead of allowing them to graze on grass and actually be healthy.

To prevent tooth decay, I suggest you read the book by Dr. Weston A. Price that did extensive research on this subject and examined over 12 different major cultures all over the world, including Europe, Asia, and the Americas. His findings are quite incredible and his book is fully illustrated with pictures of people with perfect teeth, good jaw structure, and long lived. He did blood cultures and made comparisons to the modern diet of the 1930's to thousands of years of diet development these people went through.

If you want to be healthy and free of tooth decay and diabetes, I strongly recommend you educate yourself as to what really works and avoid the so called, studies that are profit motivated, not health motivated.

One of the biggest myths that are being promoted today, and there are many, is the low fat diets. You need fat from good sources. Your heart uses fat as fuel and for health. Your cellular membranes are made up of fats. These fats allow nutrients to enter and exit cells. If you are deficient in fats, your body will suffer greatly. A very good book to read is: Life without Bread by Christian Allan, pH.D. It explains in good detail why you need fat to lose fat.

Do yourself a huge favor and don't listen to the so called experts that tell you to eat lots of Vegetable oils. In fact, vegetable oils are very unstable fats that when heated only slightly, convert the cis configuration into the trans configuration forming trans fats. Most of them are rancid when you buy them. The clear bottles allow sunlight and fluorescent lighting to bare down on them and this is known to cause the oils to go rancid.

good luck to you
If your trying to prevent type 2 diabetes and it runs in your family you should stay away from simple carbs like heaps of chips and potato stuff and all that and mainly just make sure your tummy doesn't get fat. because that is a leading cause of diabetes mellitus type 2. Stay thin check ur bgl and don't drink to much alcohol and eat to much sugar as that is how diabetes is cause because to much sugar is in your body and the receptors cant absorb it quick enough so the receptors have to work doubly hard and beta cells have to produce heeappss more insulin for the receptors to work and they end up dying. So the less sugar. The better! And think of it like this. Your plate should consist of half veges, 1/4 protein one 1/4 carbs. Think about serving sizes!

hope that helps..

p.s as for tooth decay just stay away from sugar and fizzy drinks! and always brush your teeth after anything sugary.
