I had a diabates test and the result was 5.0 so i dont have diabetes, but what does 5.0 mean? - good/bad??
Answers: A hemoglobin A1C of 5.0 is wonderful.
It means your body is well controlling the insulin/sugar balance.
It means 5.0 millimoles per litre (a mole is 6.23*10^23 molecules).
That's great, I wish I could get a score like that - just once would be nice.
...there seems to be a bit of variation here.....
I've been told that HBA1c level is acceptable if its in the range 3.8-6.4%
AND Plasma Glucose Level (fasting level) in range 4-6mmo/L
dunno where the 16 comes in (mebbe in the US a different rating / grading scale is used)
so it sounds like your HBA1c level is perfectly acceptable, although if the medics are querying Diabetes then probably its something to be aware about, rather than have to do something about (suggested remedys are improove exercise & reduce sugar intakes) (so no more / severly redeuce the Choccies & start walking / running a bit)
A result of 5.0 is very good. The average adult blood sugar level is between 4 and 10 and diabetics are recommended to try and keep their levels between 4 and 7 to prevent any further health complications in later life.
Basically that is a good result and you're fine!
No you don't have diabetes, 5.0 is average rating
its within the healthy range!
five is good if it was 15 it is to high and 1-2- 3 can be to low
thats good, i,m a diabetic cook. and thats a good balance.
I'm not sure what 5.0 means, but I am considered bordorline Diabetic Type 2 and my test was at 16. If you want to find out for sure, just ask the doctor, or whoever gave you the test .. call in and they will call you back with the result. Good Luck ! :)
Using the UK scale, you should be with a range from 4.0 to 7.0 which is considered to be normal. So it is a good result.
between 3 and 10 is about average

Veggies and Carbs do not prevent tooth decay. Diabetes has become rampant in the U.S. and is a result of two things; the High Carb, Low Fat, don't eat red meat crowd and the Nanobacter bacteria that c
I don't see why at 140 pounds and with your height you would have an increased risk of diabetes. Unless your waist measures over a thirty-five, than you should be fine. On the BMI (body mass index) yo
Numbness in feet is usually from Peripheral Vascular Disease. It means that the blood flood to the feet is not sufficient. It does not necessarily have to do with Diabetes either.
