I can't get out of a size 14...but I feel great???

Question: I am 5'3 and in my mid 20's...for the past 3 years I can't get out of a size 14...I exercise every single day (I walk either 1-2 miles or do cardio)..I eat relativley well...and I don't smoke or drink...according to my BMI index I am overweight...but I feel great and have little to no flab on my body...(I never was skinny skinny...in high school I was a 10)...my question is is it possible to be a healthy size 14 or am I doomed to suffer diseases? because according to the BMI website I am at risk for heart disease, stroke diabetes..etc...just wanted to see what you guys thought?

-Nice answers only please

Thank You :)
Answers: You sound really healthy. Some people just aren't meant to be a size zero. As long as you keep exercising regularly and eating healthily, you aren't at risk for any weight-related diseases. Usually high cholesterol and diabetes have less to do with a person's weight than their eating/exercise habits. It sounds like you have a pretty healthy attitude, as well. Lots of women don't want to accept that they will never be a certain size and that's when eating disorders develop.
your height/size proportion is totally off. You didn't mention how much you weigh. You have excess weight stored somewhere on your body. It may have to do with your genes are your parents relatively big. You could have some underlining condition because at 5'3 you shouldn't wear a size 14.
The only way to know for sure is to have your body fat levels checked. If you have wide hip bones or a big bust, it's quite possible to be a bigger size and be perfectly healthy. I get tired of people commenting on what size is too big, what size is too small, without any regard for the person's build, body shape, fat distribution, body fat levels, muscle mass or anything.

It's not your clothes size nor your weight that increases your risk of heart disease and diabetes, it's your body fat levels and your waist measurement. Your body fat should be no more than 32%, but 28% or below is optimal. Your waist measurement should be no more than half your height in inches, so for you it should be no more than 31.5 inches.

If you have a healthy waist measurement and a healthy body fat level, then you are healthy and your clothes size becomes completely irrelevant.

Take care : )
Stop! you are buying into the hype that the advertisers want you to. I am an american male and you sound just about perfect. I cannot stand those heroine addicted crack smoking super models. Be happy with who you are.
If you are exercising, eating well and not smoking then you can be healthy. I wouldn't worry about it unless you start having symptoms that something isn't right.
It may be your bones structure , but if you have little fat on your body that is great. And even better because you feel so good. Don't put to much stock into sizes than can be misleading.
