Can drink too much green tea lead to heart diseases and diabetes??
Answers: no
heart disease and diabetes are ailments that are linked more to the types of food you eat...i.e foods high in cholesterol and saturated and trans fat can lead to heart disease while a unbalenced selection of carbs and sugars can cause spikes in insulin production...green tea is an antioxidant with caffiene...although i wouldnt bet my life on it i'm highy confident that there is no PROVEN link between green tea and the above mentioned illnesses...so drink up and enjoy the extra energy and antioxidants
Well if it is sweetened with sugar or honey and you drank an excessive amount it would not be good. But no, unsweetened green tea could not ever lead to heart disease or diabetes. Green tea is known for being healthy for you. However, most green tea is caffinated so you would not want to drink it excessively. But a couple cups a day is good for you.
Moderation is key to solution.. so please take it moderate amount cuz like you just said.. TOO MUCH is never good for anything at all...
If you over-do anything that is good for you, it can reverse itself into something bad. It just depends on how much you drink. I've never heard of it leading to diabetes. Blood sugar is controlled by the pancreas. Heart disease is more hereditary. But, the caffeine in Green Tea speeds up the heart and the metabolism.
It basically depends on how much you drink. A few cups a day isn't bad. They make 'green tea' supplements to lose weight. But diabetes? I think someone is pulling your leg, really. Never heard of such a thing.
You can find out, if you go on Dr. Marcola.com. He's a naturalist physician and see what he has to say about green tea. I get their e-mail updates. Very informative stuff.
What drink 13 cups a day? Yes.
There has been no scientific proof. but it has been proven that to much can cause problems with the kidneys, and of course, your teeth. And by to much, I mean tons. It also depends if this green tea is decaf. Decaf is better then caffinated. Caffinated can cause high blood pressure. If you are a tea lover like I am, and don't want to give it up, drink decaf. There is almost no difference in taste. And caffeen can also lead to a rapid heart rate called tachycardia, and some other arythmias. But tea is definatly better then coke or sprite. But water is the best thing. Just don't drink to much.
I don't know, but too much of anything is not good!

I guess if we blame whole food plants in causing disease like antioxidants that reverse the aging process, I guess we can reach for that cookie and dip it in our calorie ridden green tea frappachino from Star Bucks, huh?
