can you help?
no silly answers please.
Answers: The diet of a diebetic depends if they are type 1 (insuilin dependant) or type two (medicine such as metaformin or low sugar diet).
All diebetics get there own indivdual diet sheets after seeing a dietician. The lady i looked atfer had type 1. She had to stick to a low sugar diet with 200 grams of carbohydrates a day. if she had a busy day then her breakfast would consist of toast instead of cereal as things like toast and digestive bisciuts are classed as a slow energy releasing food, ie the carbohydrates are released slower throughout the day giving more energy and they dont drop so dramitcally causing a hypo. (very low bm)
Eating times must be the same every day and insulin given before meals. Snacks of fruit and digestive bisciuts. Depending on her bm then snacks and puddings where allowed but had to be balanced with the ammount of carbhydrates she had ate that day. For more information their are lots of sites on the internet regarding diabeties
Its now sunday, hope you got finnished on time,i`m sure the reseach as enlightend you a little more.well done.
Go to your local gp surgery or health centre 2moz and ask for some leaflets on each of them.
The answer to each part of this very general question would take up a couple off foolscap pages. I don't think anyone should be trying to do this college work for you, even if you have been ill.
