Can anyone tell me the diet for diabetes??
Answers: Green vegetables (especially spinach) is really good. Have a glass of bitter gourd juice first thing in the morning. Tastes bad, but is very healthy.
Sweets and anything high on calories is strictly taboo. Switch over to wheat bread.
Here's a useful tip:Always carry a packet of sandwiches or a few sugar-free biscuits with you. Diabetic people tend to get hungry soon and should never be on an empty stomach.
Apart from following a healthy diet, walk briskly for 30 minutes at dawn and try to walk at least 15 minutes in the evening.
A good diet complemented by regular exercise may eliminate the need for medicine.
It kind of depends on your personal situation. You should always contact your physician and they will set you up with a nutritionist that will give you an exact diet. But guidelines are no sugar and limit starch intake because it turns into sugar in your blood. eat more vegetables and limit fruit but do not completely take it out of your diet. Stay well balanced in your diet and never skip meals.(you can always eat several times a day in smaller quantities to help keep blood sugar under control.) Sugar substitutes are alright in moderation but if too much is ingested can cause diarrhea. Weight watchers has a very nice diet that can be used if you are diabetic and other diets are alright as long as they are not fad diets. This all depends on whether you have type 1 or 2 diabetes though. Also get a good glucometer and check blood sugar often to keep you blood sugar level in the right range. also go to this site and see if it helps you at all or just try doing a search for diabetic diets or managing blood sugar. I hope I have helped but please contact your physician, you may need to take insulin or pills as well as managing your diet.

Your diet looks good. The only red flad I see is that you have PCOS. Not that anything is wrong with that but, due to this, I would contact your doctor and have him look it over.
