Is the oatmeal 30 day challenge okay??
Question: for someone who has high cholestrol(wants to bring this down) and may be in danger of becoming type 2 diabetes....along with many fruits and vegteables lean meats and water....?????
Answers: Yes, oatmeal can reduce your cholesterol. Be sure you avoid fried foods and anything with high fat. Each only egg whites. Many times changing the diet can greatly to reduce cholesterol. Sometimes medication is needed in addition to diet. I have found the supplement red rice yeast to work as well as any medical drugs to bring down cholesterol levels.
follow this treatment and see where your cholesterol is in a month. I think you will be very happy with the results. It's always better to start with food changes before adding medical drugs.
Any further questions please let me know.

If the oatmeal challenge means eating oatmeal every day for breakfast, and eating lean meats, fruits and veggies for your other meals then yes, it's ok. When you have your oatmeal, have low-fat milk on it and some fresh fruit. Don't put sugar on it, and don't eat other oat products that have tons of fat and sugar, like granola bars.
Be sure to get at least 30 minutes of exercise every day, too. That will go a long way toward lowering your cholesterol. Good luck!
yes, it really helps lower cholesterol
Any diet with the word challenge in it's title has to be taken with a pinch of salt (no food pun intended).
Try just eating a balanced diet and exercising regularly - it's not challenging and doesn't have to be.
No.....you need to change your thinking about food in general...fad diets never work.
