I heard that you aren't supposed to go out in the cold after getting a tooth taken out. Is this true??
Question: I'm a dental assistant, and this one was a first for me
Answers: If you suck that cold air in over that extraction site and the wet packing you are in for a sharp thrill. You do have an open wound, you should be resting, staying away from large groups of people so you are less likely to pick up a secondary infection like a virus and generally taking good care of your self. That would be reason enough for me to stay in out of the cold.
