Is it better to put something hot or cold on a toothache??

Answers: warm salt water and swish it around
An old remedy that works and fast is...Put an Aspirin next to the Painfull tooth,it will disolve and get into the root of the tooth, in 10 minutes the pain is gone. If it keeps coming back, you will need to go see your Dentist..
Do NOT put an aspirin next to the tooth. It will cause a burn on your mucosa.

You want to use cold. Hot will just increase circulation to the area and make the toothache worse.

GO SEE A DENTIST. No home remedies can cure a rotten tooth.
warm salt water swish it around your moiuth dont swallow though
I've always used ice, it seems to work. Orajel is also an excellent way to numb the area. These are, of course, temporary measures until you can get to a dentist.
Whichever makes it feel better is best.
