Whats better for infected teeth heat or cold the dentist told me to use a heating pad 3 times a day??
Question: ive been on a antiiotic since the 28th but it seems not to be working so i went back to the denist and he put me on 2 more weeks of the same antibiotic and told me to use the heating pad 3 times a day what else would help to take out the infection please thanks
Answers: Heat is better than cold because it increases circulation to the infected area, which is important to allow the body to remove the infection. Beyond that you might consider taking steps to increase your immunity...a good multivitamin, some zinc, and lots of vitamin C at a minimum.
By lots of vitamin C, I mean 1000 mg every few hours while you are awake until the infection resolves. If you notice any diarrhea, don't stop the Vitamin C...just back off a little. That's your body's way of saying you are taking all it can use.
