Answers: Carmex...this works great, you should be able to get it at any drug store (Walgreens, CVS etc.)

This may sound kinda icky; but it works.

1. for ones inside the mouth btwn gums and cheek; dab a little alcohol on your finger and rub it on the sore twice a day until healed(2/3 days).

2. for ones on the outside of mouth on or around the lips; take a Q-tip and clean a dab of earwax from your ear and rub a little of it on the sore at night before bedtime un till healed(2/4 days).
Zovirax (by prescription) or Abreva (over the counter). Apply at first sign of a tingle on the lip. These don't always prevent cold sores but they do shorten the length of healing time.
Abreva. Use it within the first day of symptoms for the best results.
