I got a wisdom tooth removed like a week ago, it still hurting is that normal for it to still be hurting me.??
Question: it's very cold where i live and im thinking mabey it's the cold weather that has my mouth still hurting,i do have a big ole hole where the wisdom tooth used to be. mabey all that cold air is making it hurt????
Answers: If its severe pain then it could be dry socket, which will require treatment from the dentist. If its just a soreness then maybe its the air. I would definately have it looked at.
i don't know what the normal healing time is, but when i got all 4 of mine taken out, i was fine the next day. after that, i just had to be careful not to get anything stuck in the holes. just to be safe, you should give your doctor a call. good luck!
After a week, the pain and soreness should subside significantly. Contact the surgeon's office. They may need to examine the extraction site. In the mean time, rinse with warm salt water 3x / day.
Mine hurt about 10 days I used Ambasol and chloraseptic
and it helped numb and ease the pain.

yes the cold air or the cold weather may affect it. its normal and it takes 2-4 weeks before it became better. take some medication to lessen the pain. mefenamic acid is a good one for that.
it might also be if you play with it with your tongue too much. doind that actually makes the gums healing process slow down
Depends on what kind of pain it is. Either way, you should already have a one week, and a one month check-up scheduled with the docter who did the operation. I say dont worry about it, but you can never be too safe...get it checked out at a local clinic mayb? or even call the docter and describe it to him or his secretary on the phone.
Good luck, hope all goes well :D
