I had some fillings done in November, and I've had extreme sensitivity to cold/hot since then...and now...??

Question: Now, my tooth (teeth? I can't tell at this point) on the left side of my mouth have been throbbing agonizingly all day. I couldn't sleep last night cause I was in pain then, too. The pain not only seems to be affecting my tooth, but it's spead to my jaw and my temple too. In my desperation, I've taken a total of 9 Ibuprofen, and I've been using a lot of Anbesol. I don't know what to do--any suggestions?
Answers: Sounds like your bite was left high (the fillings were filled to high for your bite). Throbbing usually indicated nerve involvement (may need root canal treatment). Have your Dentist ck the bite first as this may solve the problem.
Same thing happened to me a few years ago. Go out target or anywhere really and buy a toothpast called sensodene I used it for a few weeks and it really helps.
Sounds like you might need a root canal. I had the same problem sometime ago and I had to have a root canal. Expensive but it does away with the pain. Hope you feel better soon.
