I have a tooth that hurts quite badly. Liquid, hot or cold brings relief. What could be the cause??
Answers: The nerve in the tooth is infected. You will need a root canal to have the nerve removed.
The reason for the infected nerve is either due to decay reaching the nerve, a large filling, or trauma at some point in your life (even years and years ago)
If you decide against the root canal, the only other choice you have will be extraction. But, you will need something to replace the space that is left to prevent your other teeth from shifting. Those options could be a bridge, an implant, or a partial.
It sounds as though you have an absess and need a root canal..Go to your dentist asap....
it either has a crack in it or else you have a cavity=see the dentist=good luck
