Should I use hot or cold compresses??

Question: For bringing down the swelling in my lip after oral surgery
Answers: Cold for the first 24 hours to control swelling, warm afterwards to increase circulation to remove said fluid faster and aid healing. But if it hurts, you can stick with cold a while longer. Frozen baby peas conform to facial shape better than ice packs, get two small bags- one to have in use and a spare. You can even use them afterwards to make pea soup. If you can't get the peas, corn will work as well. For warm compresses, either a heating pad or a damp washrag, heated in the microwave, put inside a baggie and wrapped in another towel work well.
Cold compresses.
Get well !!.
