Ice craving??
Question: It feels like my teeth are on fire, they ache, and this was relieved only by cold water from the fridge, then it had to have ice cubes, then it was mostly ice cubes. and now I can't think of anything but ICE. I won't go get it and eat it cause I know that's silly and won't help, if anything it'll make my teeth hurt worse.
My teeth ache and hurt, I am craving ice... what could be the possible reason for this?? and NO my teeth are not aching because I ate ice. I did not eat any ice. But I want to. REALLY BAD!! I am drinking ice water, but all day today and yesterday I've been thinking about crunching down on that delicious cold frosty refreshing stuff.
Answers: Well people who are anemic crave ice like nobody's business, but I've not heard of a situation like yours, where teeth hurt so bad and ice makes it better. You need a dentist.
It's called pica, the strong urge to eat or ingest inedible stuff... I guess there's nothing wrong with wanting to chew on ice cubes if it relieves your toothache but you really ought to get that checked out... hope I helped...
try taking a washcloth, running REALLY cold water over it and sucking on the washcloth. I know it sounds weird, but it will give you that feeling of ice without hurting your teeth.
