What then is going to cure my younger of his paralysis??
Question: My young brother was involved in an accident where he got a spine twist and pralyzed since July 2005.
Answers: Oh Ezra, these questions are so heart-breaking.
It does depend on whether the spinal column was severed or not.
If it was, then I'm afraid that there is nothing that I know of that can help.
If it wasn't, if the nerves are intact, then make the rounds. Talk to his doctors. Talk to craniosacral therapists or cranial osteopaths. Acupuncture is a possibility but there are VERY few good ones for this sort of injury. I personally don't believe that Chinese acupuncturists are good for westerners. They are used to their own people and our constitutions are very different.
You need to talk to people whose work is very subtle. No manipulations!

I'm sorry to say but this sort of spinal damage is usually permanent. There is research into getting electrical stimulants to move the muscles again but it is very early days and no-one knows for sure if there is a future in this kind of work.
Nothing....regardless of all the promises of miracle cures...the only way to really get his spine back to normal is major surgery....if the technology and know-how was there.....To this date most spinal injuries are incurable.
Go to China and consult a good Acupuncturist.

Please do some research on hyperbaric chamber or hyperbaric oxygen therapy. I don't know much about it - its the chamber people go in when they have the bends or have carbon monoxide in their system, I think it 100% oxygen and under pressure - I have heard it can make some conditions better - but you'll need to do lots of reading - there are places in the UK and they are expensive, and I may be barking up the wrong tree.
