What are some over the counter ways to treat scabies??

Question: Is nix cream the best over the counter? Any experiences please share. I'm looking for an easy and affordable way.
Answers: Scabies is a parasitic infection that is very difficult to treat and is highly contagious. The itching from tiny mites burrowing into the skin can take several weeks to show up after the infection and spread has begun. So with the treatment, you must thoroughly clean all linens and clothing and vacuum furniture and rugs daily for a couple of weeks.

If you are going to use an over-the-counter cream of some type, first bathe in a hot bath to open the pours, towel quickly, and apply. Have the vet treat your pets.

Here are some herbal therapies that may be less toxic for children:

Dilute equal amounts of bergamot, peppermint, tea tree and rosemary pure essential oils in olive oil (10% essential oil/90% olive oil) and add several tablespoons to the warm bath after five minutes of soaking. Soak with oils for an additional five minutes. Repeat nightly for a week.
There is no herbal or OTC treatment. Nix is for lice not scabies. Scabies burrow under the skin Nix is useless for this. You do need to get a scabicide to kill them.
