Is acupuncture reliable for stroke paralysis treatment??

Answers: Hi Karthik.
This answer for you, please look: from http://www.thetole.com/Stroke.html

The Tole's Herbal Medicine and Acupuncture Intensive Stroke Treatment.
THE TOLE'S WAY OF STROKE MEDICATION has been proven effective for stroke and it has taken many years of STROKE research before coming to our present way of medication and result. The special STROKE formulars for all types of stroke and at different stages and conditions. When you want to starts our treatment you have to e-mail to us all your history and conditions, types of food intake and current conditions and medications. Then we can guild you on the herbs prescriptions and what to DO and what not to DO and food intake for your STROKE. We will then continue to guild you on the next course of medications and NEW life.

Yes. My acupuncturist has had great success treating stroke patients with acupuncture in combination with physical therapy.
My typical stroke patients come in with a gait problem (dragging one leg), often partial loss of hearing and vision on one side, aphasic speech, etc.

within 3 to 4 weeks of 2x per week treatment even an 82 year old woman did the jig (dance) in our waiting room. The results are similarly spectacular with autism, ADD, ADHD as post-stroke. Usually it's just not a big deal to dispense with symptoms and precludes those ridiculously long and laborious rehab programs. We use the needles to tell the brain to reawaken rather than to put the body through movements and exercises hoping the brain will jump on the bandwagon.

best wishes!

Based on my ongoing clinical practice of 25+ years in TCM (traditional Chinese medicine-acupuncture, Chinese herbalism) for most medical conditions and SUPERTOUCH(tm) soft tissue reprocessing(tm) for chronic pain.
I wouldn't say 100% reliable. But acupuncture def. can help the stroke sufferer recover.

The trick is to start acupuncture treatments as soon as you can after the stoke. The longer you wait (months and months) the more difficult it will be.

Start treatments early and find a qualified acupuncturist such as from here
