Answers: Take vitamin c and zinc, drink some chamomile tea with lots of honey and fresh squeezed lemon juice. It'll help with a cold or a flu. OTC meds can't really do much. You just have to wait it out.
There are many pills/liquids available for both cold and flu combined, like Nurofen Cold and Flu..or Beechams Powders/All in ones, and you could even maybe try Day&Night Nurse caps..

Neither. Drink plenty of fluids, eat chicken soup and get plenty of rest in the mean time.
Flu medicine is like the same as Cold medicine. As long as its over the counter drugs it doesn't matter.
I think the difference between a cold and a flu is that with a flu, you get less runny nose/cough stuff and more headache, body ache, and fever symptoms. If you have a stuffy nose or a sore throat, go and get medicine that treats individual symptoms. Aleve cold and sinus works for me every time for sinus pressure and a stuffy nose. If you have more flu-like symptoms, go for pain medicine (aspirin, etc), drink fluids, and stay in bed for a day or two.
