As I am likely to have to wait for the flu jab, can I inject Lemsip instead??
Question: Will it have the same affect?
Answers: Yeah, go for it, that's what I did (all these sceptics, pfffffbbbtttt!)
Worked pretty well, except all that lemon in my bloodstream gave me a permanently scrunched-up facial expression, and I spoke really slowly because I felt so drowsy.
I got called 'Grandad' a couple of times by shop assistants, but it was a small price to pay, I reckon.
Ho, Ho, Ho, what makes me sad though is that a large number of my patients do inject paracetamol, salt, sugar etcetera not to mention brick dust into their veins, which uncrupulous dealers use to cut the powder make it look like they have more heroin than they think they have. Leads to all sorts of complications including death. Many a true word spoken in jest LOL
Hope that you get your Flu Vacc before it gets to the Lemsip stage. How many dogs have you got by the way? ;~)x
If you have a sterile syringe, yes you could inject sugars, flavourings, salt, and a possibly dangerous amount of paracetamol and other drugs straight into your bloodstream. And no, it wouldn't have the same effect, it'd probably make you very very dead.

GOD NO! Lemsip should be snorted or smoked. Don't inject it, that's what Night Nurse is for.
no
Definate no! I've got a bad cold at the moment, but as I'm at work in the middle of the North Sea I have substituted my normal coffee intake with Lemsip! If you are considered in an at risk health group i.e. elderly, diabetic etc. Then your local GP (or rather Practice Nurse) will be able to get you a priority appointment for a flu jab. Remember to be nice to the nurse, its not her fault you have to wait. :-)
umm, no
definitely not, if you want to give yourself a boost, then take garlic ecchinancea and vitamin c with zinc daily. you can also boost yoour vitamin levels with lots of iron rich foods such as green veg and plenty of fruit. if you want a good antioxidant try green tea it has many benefirts and acan also give you a little bit more energy when taken in tablet form.. try to stay away from people who have the flu and leave your bedroom window open a bit to let fresh air citculate before sleeping... if you already have the snuffles then put a few drops of olbas oil on your pillow and drink a cup of hot lemonade with a drop of honey in it before you go to bed...
No i wouldnt advise it!

Lots of fluids. Enough water that you are peeing all the time! haha! Rest helps your body recuperate, so get plenty. Echinacea is good. I use Chamomile tea also. I helps me relax and puts me to sleep.
(My GP has been taking 2000mg of Vitamin C daily for 20yrs and claims he has never had he flu since.)
