FAST migraine releif...please help ive been getting them since i was 4??
Answers: I used to get migraines and I suffered for years. I found out I am allergic to pork. It caused some of my migraines. I also can not consume anything with preservative salts. I think they are called nitrites and nitrates???
See your neurologist to get medication specifically to relieve migraines and to consider trying preventative medication if you get them often.
check your diet. My mother had HORRIBLE disabling migraines when she was younger. Seriously, she could do nothing for the day she got them they were so bad.
She's now 70 and hasn't had a migraine since she was 50. Why? She cut out red meat, all artificial food colours/dyes, and artificial flavours. She also cut down on shellfish.
And just so you don't think she's nuts. Her doctor gave her calcium supplement. Unfortunately they were coated with green dye but he told her it was harmless. She (like the fool) believed him and took the calcium.
She's had migraines for three days now. They're not as bad as they once were but still very uncomfortable.
I'm not saying cut out those things because you may be reacting to something else, but go get a food allergy test and see if that helps. She did it the old fashioned way. Eat very simple (ie. white rice and chicken breasts) and once she's sure that she's detoxified, she started adding different things. She then noted what gave her a headache and what gave her a migraine. She wrote it down (ie. ate food with Red 40) or ate shrimp yesterday. Things like that. That's how she found out. She cut them out, no more migraines or headaches.
I noticed too that when I eat red colouring I get a headache. For her though it was more severe, she got migraines with all food colourings.
Stay away from nutrasweet, diet pop, equal sweetener, aspartane and corn syrup in products that's what I did & I don't have them anymore.

Have you considered that it could be food related? Many of us have allergies we aren't even aware of. My Aunt had migraines for YEARS. Turned out she was allergic to CHEESE (of all things!)
Try a diet of plant based whole foods. If that doesn't work try the elimination diet method. (where you don't eat the same food for 4 days) Read Dr. Braley's food allergy & nutrition revolution
I hope this helps you
Do you have the migraine right now? If so, then if you can, go to the ER or a clinic to get an injection of an anti-nausea and a pain medication (usually Phenergan as the anti-nausea and Toradol or Diladid as the pain medication). This is the quickest way to end a migraine. Otherwise, if you're just asking in general, make an appointment to see your GP or a neurologist. They'll give you a prescription drug like Maxalt, Imitrex or Midrin. I've been using Maxalt for years. It dissolves on your tongue and you can take another one in an hour if you still don't have relief. If you don't have prescriptions, take something like Excedrin migraine, and go lie down in a dark, quiet room. Dip a towel in cool water, and wrap it around your neck (this helps with nausea). Try to take slow, deep breaths until you fall asleep, and with any luck you'll wake up in less pain.
Headache is a pain in the head, scalp or neck.
Headaches can be caused by minor problems
like eyestrain, lack of coffee or more serious reasons
like head injury, brain tumors, encephalitis and
meningitis. Taking painkillers continuously can
have harmful side effects, so it is better to
modify your lifestyle. More information available at
i find i just have to go to bed and lie down in a dark room with plenty of pain killers but obviosely read the label on them and only take as advised too :)
My advise is drink more water, no bread, no chocolate, no cola, no chess for 4 week than eat only one thing and wait for 4 days and see what problems you if you get migraine than do not eat that products for 6 months than try one day and wait for 4 day and see.
